Little Spark Mission

It’s already the fall. Farmers enjoy harvest. Definitely, one of the privileges as spiritual worker is seeing the fruits of our service for the Lord Jesus Christ. You may not go out to witness often, however the Lord uses many of you as channels of God’s grace to the young Sunday school kids or high school students in various churches.

I have already sent out our Korean newsletter. Here, I would like to share about the activities we had in June and July. We had a Pastor’s conference in Honduras. The objectives of the conference were a renewal of their spirit and learning about disciple-making in pastoral ministry. It was a wonderful time of recharging of their hearts. There were many pastors who wanted to start laymen’s Bible study and discipleship training in their ministry.

We are scheduled to have a regional training session this coming November. For this pastor’s training conference we have translated bible study materials and principles that they may share with their church leadership. We praise God that we have native Honduran leaders who can lead this training session. We hope to see the fruits of this new program at local churches in Honduras next year.

 

As for the Ukraine summer training session in July, those who has experience of the Little Sparks summer training conference in 1980s and 1990s may easily guess what kind of program we covered at Mucachevo, the Western  border area of Ukraine. 127 brothers and sisters from the major city areas in Ukraine, including a group from Moldova and a brother from Iran attended the training. It was an opportunity for 25 leadership trainees to lead small groups from morning till night. I saw a great possibility of raising future missionaries up for Western Europe and Russian speaking world. Alexander and Nastacia from Uglansky, an Eastern border area of the country, will move there and plant a church soon. Little Spark will support this new church in Ukraine as the first supporting church. We will provide $200 monthly until they may grow up self-supported.

Next Friday, I am leaving for my lecture trip to, Cambodia, Vietnam, and Myanmar. On October 9, I will go to Kiev from Bangkok, Thailand for our October12-15, training conference in the city of Donetzka in east part of Ukraine. It is our first training conference focusing regional groups in the Timothy Academy with local churches together. We need your supporting heart and prayer.
