Little Spark Mission

Little Spark Mission is a disciple making ministry that focuses on the development of spiritual leaders.  Our desire is to raise up lifelong followers of Jesus Christ. We strive to train disciple makers who are unashamed of the gospel & live by faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ (Rom. 1:16-17; Mt. 28:18-20).  We currently have existing ministries in university campuses in California, Colorado, and Central America.

Gospel Living Room (Limited Time Only).

Why do many Christian college students turn away from God after graduating? Why do the leaders give so much while in college, but contribute so little to their churches after college? Why do couples who get married after college face so much difficultly finding community? For the next three months, Little Spark is gathering alumni together in multiple cities in LA to reconnect and find answers to these relevant questions. The first meeting starts in January. The get-togethers are called “Gospel Living Room.” The purpose of reuniting those that have graduated is to (1) encourage us to continue to live out of the gospel, (2) share the struggles we are currently facing, and (3) understand what major issues Christians are dealing with post college. We hope to better  understand what our young adults and families are going through. Thus, we are setting up a time, finding a cozy place, providing warm food, & asking hard personal questions. We want our brothers and sisters to be honest, transparent, and real with one each other. As we personally listen to one another, we believe that we can learn key truths about this particular age group. This will be valuable for our ministry as we seek to better train our college students for lifelong relationship with Jesus. At the same time, knowing what our alumni are facing in depth will help us encourage, edify, and exhort one another to live by faith in the finish work of Jesus Christ. We pray that God will continue to unleash the power of the gospel in our lives!

Central America News. 

We praise God for growing our ministry in Nicaragua, both physically & spiritually! Marlon and Jeni, our staff in Nicaragua, are expecting their first child this fall. At the same time, Marlon and Jeni are also expecting a spiritual child. A member of their campus ministry at UNAN has committed to house training  this fall.  Luis Hernandez will be preparing to live with Jeni and Marlon in order to be trained as a Christian worker. Luis will not only learn to evangelize and disciple students on the university campus, but also receive life mentoring from the home. This should prepare Luis to build a strong household in the future, where he will manage his family by example and make many disciples. We want Luis to have a Christ centered family & ministry in his own home. We thank God for bearing new children through our leaders!
